The Sunday after finals week…when most people would be beginning their summer, but we are still hanging out in the dorms. This was the day we moved into Symmes Hall, of the infamous moving out of Symmes debacle.
Some other images from our first days of summer:
The newest accessory on the Miami Track and Field teams.
Can you tell I’ve done this before?
Why my bike is currently sitting in our house instead of locked up outside…they cut my lock 😦
What we were doing all week long! 3 long, exciting days of track and field- just ask Melissa 🙂
“Let’s take this for our scrapbook!”
Breakfast Day 1 of having a real kitchen: Old Fashioned Oatmeal with half a banana cooked into the oatmeal and half on top of the oatmeal. Topped with a dollop of natural peanut butter (from the jar I thoughtfully labeled “Mono”)
My improvised dinner after getting back from work at 9 PM (I can now fold napkins with the best of them). Whole wheat penne, tossed with some extra virgin olive oil, canned albacore, a chopped up tomato, and some garlic salt (I didn’t realize it was garlic salt, so this turned out saltier than I would have liked). Served, in true college fashion, along side a red Solo cup….filled with water.
Breakfast on Day 2 of having a functional kitchen: Old Fashioned Oats with a splash of milk while cooking, topped with a scoop of plain Greek yogurt, a bit of strawberry jelly, and fresh (in season!) strawberries. Dunkin’ Donuts Hazelnut coffee on the side (I figured out the coffee maker!)
Two girls we miss dearly!
